Description

A waterfront reserve home located at the tip of Bar Point where the river flows by in a wide sweeping arc contained within towering sandstone cliffs and the adjoining Nature Reserve and National Park. The views from Bar Point are panoramic as you gaze across the huge expanse of water to where Berowra Creek, MarraMarra Creek and Coba Creek all join the Hawkesbury River behind historic Bar Island. This section of the river is also one of the Hawkesbury River's best known fishing grounds. The home which has been recently renovated is a classic river cottage with good river views, two bedrooms, central lounge/dining area, separate kitchen, enclosed sunroom and timber deck across the front and one side. The property has an allocated berthing space on a newly constructed jetty/pontoon system directly in front. Stroll across the 30 metre wide grassy nature reserve where the dotted Casuarinas and native gums produce a natural park-like appearance along this gently sloping foreshore area. There is a swimming enclosure for the children to play alongside the jetty/pontoon where your boat is moored. Bar Point is located 15 minutes up stream from Brooklyn and it has no vehicle access. Access is via your own boat or water taxi which will set you down at your own jetty. There is only 1 ferry departing Brooklyn Mon-Fri at 9.30 a.m. Bar Point is surrounded by hundreds of acres of high mountain National Park land with housing at the waters edge where you can fish, swim, wander along one of the walking trails or just relax. Bar Point facing west will have you admiring brilliant sunsets, the best time to try your luck in one of the Hawkesbury’s most popular fishing spots. Bar Point is connected to city electricity and telephone, rain water is collected in tanks and water restrictions must be observed.
